February 21 – the specialists of the most difficult missions

Pope Pius XI met the Oblates in General Chapter to commemorate the centenary of the approbation of the Oblates in 1826. A few years later, as he heard the narratives of the Oblate missionaries in the Arctic missions, he called the Oblates the specialists of the most difficult missions. This calling is attributed to the Oblates all over the world till today.
